Lawry National Day Brunch

Lawry National Day Brunch

Thanks to the promotion, we could enjoy our first Lawry's top notch steak at a cut

The place is not as fine dining as expected, quite casual, there isn't any restriction to the kind of shoes people wear~ i even saw tees and sandal~ which is also a relief :)

They do not serve ice water here.. My mineral water came from Switzerland and it cost $6.80++ Inho's freshly squeezed orange juice came from Malaysia? and it cost $7.50++ whose is more worth it? HA *their price is close to 6 star hotel price*

Fresh warm homemade Limpa and sourdough bread
Potato is right~ their bread is not warm and the butter is too frozen to be spread on the bread...
First course : Rojar Shrimp Cocktail
Poached Shrimp tossed with Celery, Carrot, roasted Peanut & Rojak Virgin Olive Oil
Vinaigrette, accompanied by French toast with a local twist.

The Rojak sauce make this dish very Singapore.. The french toast is sweet~ taste like sweet poached egg wrapped with bread on the outside.
Lawry’s Famous Original Spinning Bowl
Waitress spinning the salad bowl over a bed of ice
She recommend us to add Lawry special seasoned pepper to enhance the taste.. would say it's impressive.. after all it's just fresh salad..
For our entree we ordered picked the Merdeka Cut
Slice of Lawry’s Signature Prime Rib of Beef with a Idaho mashes potato and choice of cream spinach or corn

Their beef is really soft and really tender~ it practically melt in your mouth~ Doesn't have any blood surging out nor any fishy blood taste even though the meat you see is pinkish red~ *medium rare* the au jus look so normal in the picture but it smell and taste really tantalizing!! this Merdeka cut is onli 150g and i cant finish.. wonder how other finish their 280-450g?
Yorkshire Pudding (which is actually cheese bread) to be soak and eaten with the au jus
Dessert “Bo Bo Cha Chaala Mode
Flan custard with Bo Bo Cha Cha filling & a scoop of Haagen Dazs Ice Cream, garnished
with light Coconut whipped Cream and Strawberry

Ice cream is good coz it's from Haagen Daz~ pudding on the other hand is creative~ and alittle weird.. haha you can taste strips of sweet potato and yam in it~ Japanese pudding with Singapore twist

The meal end with Italian coffee and Lipton fine teas.. Served with Praline Chocolate

The meal was fine .. i tasted the best beef i have eaten so far~ :) 5 course meal for that price is absolutely worth it... consider ourselves as lucky to see that promo
